From Monet to Matisse — An Impressionist Art Journey

On August 21, 2026, Canada Five Star, in collaboration with SCCC West Region Community, hosted a guided art tour at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), exploring The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse. Led by Fiona, members discovered the evolution of Impressionism through masterpieces by Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Berthe Morisot, and Henri Matisse. A special highlight was Monet's iconic Water Lilies, where participants experienced the beauty of light, colour, and nature that defined the Impressionist movement. The group also visited Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room, an immersive installation creating a fascinating sense of endless space and reflection. The experience brought together art, culture, learning, and meaningful connections.
